NORMALISING

Used on semi-machined parts or forgings/castings to homogenize the material structure.

 

This process helps prevent distortion by stabilizing the steel prior to the final machining of components or during heat treatment processes such as Case Hardening, Hardening and Tempering or Nitrocarburising.

 

The process is provided using batch atmosphere controlled furnaces which prevent oxide and scale forming on the surface of the components.

 

Typical products are gears, shafts, fastener blanks etc.
